Kid2Youth is a Taiwan-based brand of ergonomic furniture for children, made by TCT NANOTEC Co., LTD. at No. 1, 14th Road, Taichung Industrial Park, Taichung 407, Taiwan. The site's footer describes it as a company that has been creating ergonomic furniture solutions for children and young adults "over 60 years," a figure that counts from the parent TCT Group rather than the Kid2Youth brand itself. The About page says the products are exported to more than ten countries, and the Chinese-language homepage adds a few headline numbers: 60 years in Taiwan, 150 stores worldwide, 20 patents and certifications, and 1000000 young users.

Kid2Youth sells mainly through dealers. From Construction Firm to Study Desk Maker

The About page timeline traces the company back to 1962, when TCT Architectural Resources was established. In 1966 a Construction Division followed, working with the Taiwan government on infrastructure, dams, hospitals and expressways. The furniture story starts in 1983 with what the timeline calls "Asia's first ergonomic height adjustable desk and study chair," marketed in Japan, and by 1989 the TCT brand alliance had more than 100 stores in Taiwan.

International sales began in 2005, when the timeline says Kid2Youth furniture started to be promoted in America, Europe, Australia and Asia. In 2011 the company reports certification under "a number of EU and US product quality standards" and says its global store count passed 100. It set up branch offices in China in 2013, and in 2018 it says it was accredited as one of the top 10 brands of children's ergonomic study desks and chairs in China. The Range: Growing Desks and Ergonomic Chairs

The Kids furniture menu has four parts: Electric Hight Adjustable Desk, Gas-Lift Ergonomic Desk, Manual Ergonomic Desk and Ergonomic chair. An Office & Household section adds manual and gas-lift desks and a Home Office Workstation for adults, and accessories cover shelves and cabinets, accessories for desks and chairs, and ergonomic school bags. The Chinese homepage also lists BenQ reading lamps, which it pairs with Kid2Youth desks.

The newest products, per the timeline, are the E6 and G6-120 series electric and gas-lift height-adjustable desks, launched in 2023, with the G series desk certified by the German IGR. In 2020 the company released the A7 Dynamic Growing Desk, which it describes as the first smart growing ergonomic height adjustable study desk in the world, and says it was granted patents in the USA, Australia, Korea, China and Taiwan. The Chinese homepage describes the gas-lift desks as using a German-made gas lift structure. Standards and Testing

Kid2Youth leans heavily on standards. The About page says its designers studied the German concept of ergonomics, use imported parts from Europe and Australia/New Zealand, and insist on 100% Taiwanese production. It says its desks and chairs follow ISO standards (DIN EN ISO 26800 / EN ISO 15537), with desktop height and angle adjustable by age and by activity. For safety, it lists TÜV Rheinland certification, an EN71 PART 3 test pass and an ASTM F963-08 test pass, and says the products pass chemical and physical testing from raw materials to finished product. On materials, it says it uses only E0 grade wood from plantation forests in Europe, PEFC certified original Egger boards, low-pollution powder coating, food container grade PET and non-toxic adhesive.

What the Brand Claims About Health

The brand's pitch is openly health-led, and these are the brand's own statements. The About page says the founder saw that most furniture on the market was not designed with ergonomics in mind, "leading to problems such as myopia, hunchback, and arm pain," and that this inspired the brand. It describes its brand values as "protecting the spine, preventing myopia, and reducing pressure on the shoulders, neck, and arms." The site also says its commitments include "the longest global warranty period," but the English pages do not state a warranty length or what it covers, so buyers should ask their dealer for the terms that apply locally.

Design for Children

Beyond the furniture, Kid2Youth has built a set of brand characters, Kosan, Bubble, Duan and Ego, with a fairy tale about a door into a world of castles, forests and hot air balloons.
