Branch is a direct-to-consumer office furniture brand that designs and sells its own ergonomic chairs, standing desks, storage and accessories, both to people setting up a home office and to companies furnishing whole floors. On where it sells, the team page is direct: "We deliver our office furniture anywhere in the contiguous United States and Canada," with white glove installation "across most major metro areas in the US and Canada." Prices are shown in US dollars, and a site-wide banner offers free shipping on orders of $90 or more. A Branch Furniture partner location in New York lets shoppers try a selection of products in person, and the site suggests checking its partner page to see what is in stock there. The site advertises "5,000+ 5-star reviews" and says its products are trusted by Wired, Forbes, Wirecutter and "600,000+ customers".
The chairs, desks and what they cost
The homepage lists the chair range with prices: the Ergonomic Chair at $369, the Ergonomic Chair Pro at $499, the Daily Chair at $259, the Verve Chair at $599 and the Softside Chair at $299. The Ergonomic Chair and Ergonomic Chair Pro are the bestsellers on the team page, and the homepage shows the Ergonomic Chair Pro in 15 colors. The Verve Chair comes in 7 colors, and the Scandinavian Studio page sells it "for iconic design and expert ergonomics," pairing it with the Duo Standing Desk ($549, 12 colors) and the Block Trolley ($339, 4 colors) as a coordinated room.
Desks cover the Duo Standing Desk, a Four Leg Standing Desk, the Daily Desk at $299, and larger team pieces; the team desks collection lists a Double Standing Desk at $1,999, described as an "adjustable workstation for teams" with "integrated power management" and a "Ten year warranty", in 48 x 27 inch and 58 x 27 inch sizes with walnut, white or woodgrain tops. The Quad Desk, also $1,999, is sold "for teams of four (or more)" and carries the same ten year warranty line. The collection filters by color and by width, from 40 inches to over 60. The accessories visible on the homepage include a Monitor Stand ($119), a Laptop Stand ($35), a Headphone Stand ($39), a Woven Chair Mat ($149), an Adjustable Footrest ($99) and lamps such as the Alumina Lamp ($235), the Shore Lamp ($145) and the Type 75 Desk Lamp ($289). A "Design My Office" quiz recommends products, and the team side of the site adds meeting booths, conference tables and six-person desks.
What the homepage and collection pages do not give is the mechanics. None of the chairs has a published seat-height range, seat depth, weight rating, lumbar adjustment or armrest travel on the site, and the product names ("Ergonomic", "Pro") are not a spec. The site links to an "Ergonomics" section and assembly guides in its support menu, and each product has its own page, which is where a buyer would go next for sizing.
Who Branch sells to, and the team service
Branch splits the site into home office and "Branch Business". For teams, it says it "combines well-designed, lasting products with free design services and concierge installation," and the team page walks through what that includes: designing the furniture layout, dealing with the landlord over "fun stuff like freight elevators and insurance," managing delivery and installation, and cleaning up and recycling the packaging. The about page adds the ability to trade in used furniture when a team moves or grows. Branch also says it offers solutions for brokers and commercial landlords to help get spaces leased faster, and the page states "WE'VE FURNISHED THOUSANDS OF OFFICES & MODEL SUITES".
Customer quotes on the team page praise the free floor plans "across multiple iterations" and the white glove install. For a startup or a growing company, that end-to-end service is the main reason to pick Branch over a store that only ships boxes.
The story behind the brand
The about page says that in 2018 CEO Greg Hayes found that buying office furniture was "a tremendous hassle." After furnishing dozens of offices for a commercial real estate startup, he concluded that office furniture companies fell into one of two groups: "high quality, but expensive and slow, or affordable and fast but lacking in quality and service." The page blames middlemen, saying traditional dealers mean unclear pricing, complicated options and "markups up to 50%." Branch's answer is to sell direct, and it claims its collection "costs half as much as premium furniture of comparable quality." That is the company's own comparison.
On durability, the about page says the products are made to be used "everyday, all day," "built to last" and "backed by industry-leading warranties." The site also has a Sustainability section and a Design Values page in its menus.
What the site leaves open, and who it suits
The about page's warranty wording names no length and no coverage. The team desks carry a stated ten year warranty, but the landing pages do not give a warranty term for the chairs, so a buyer should check the terms on the chair's own page before ordering. The homepage and collection pages do not state a return window, a trial period, delivery times, or whether chairs arrive assembled; the support menu points to an FAQ, order tracking and assembly guides for those questions. Certifications such as BIFMA or GREENGUARD are not named on the homepage or collection pages, and the site does not say where the furniture is made.
Branch suits US and Canadian teams that want one supplier to plan, deliver and install an office, and individuals who want a mid-priced chair from a brand with clear prices and a large review count. The price ladder is easy to read, from the $259 Daily Chair to the $599 Verve, and the New York partner location gives East Coast buyers a place to sit in the chairs first. A buyer who needs a published seat-height range or weight rating before choosing between the Ergonomic Chair and the Pro will have to open each product page or ask Branch's team, since the landing pages sell on design and price rather than on measurements.
