Who Makes It and Where It Ships

Newtral is the chair brand of Stan Deng, who signs the brand story as President of Microtouch Technology Inc. and the designer of the NEWTRAL Chair. The store runs on Shopify with a country selector that sets the currency: US dollars for the United States and most of Asia and the Middle East, euros for the EU countries, Canadian dollars for Canada, Australian dollars for Australia, and pounds for the United Kingdom. The FAQ answers "Do you ship internationally?" with a yes and names the markets: the US, EU, UK, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, India, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Where an order ships from depends on the destination. Orders to the US and EU leave local warehouses within 1-2 business days and, according to the FAQ, typically arrive in 2-8 business days. Orders to every other region ship from the company's warehouse in China, generally as duty-paid (DDP) shipments so the buyer is not charged customs fees on delivery. The site banner at the time advertised a "2026 Fall Office Refresh Sale" with 18% to 25% off clearance chairs and up to 30% off, and a NewUser15 code for 15% off that excludes the Standing-Mate chair.

The Chair Families

The Products menu splits the range into Home Chairs and Gaming Chairs. Home Chairs holds the Freedom-X Multi-Posture Pro Chair with Armrest in orange and the Freedom-X Multi-Posture Cross Legged Chair. The Gaming Chairs menu lists the NT002 Ergonomic Home Office Chair, the NT001 Ergonomic Office Chair, and the Magic H-BPRO, Magic H003 and Magic H002 ergonomic office chairs, so the gaming label here covers Newtral's mainstream desk chairs rather than racing-style seats. The manuals page fills in the model codes behind those names. The Freedom-X collection covers the Freedom-X-FB Multi-Posture Standard Chair with Armrest, the Freedom-X-FF Multi-Posture Pro Chair with Armrest, the Freedom-X-FG, and the Freedom-X-FP Pro Cross Legged Chair without armrests. How the Chairs Work, in Newtral's Words

The common thread is a backrest that moves. Newtral says its NT Series was the "World's first fully adaptive lumbar-support chair," with an auto-follow lumbar support that adjusts in real time to the sitter's back, and that its patented lumbar system automatically follows the sitter's posture. The Magic-H, the site says, "features auto-follow back support technology," so the adaptive backrest moves with the sitter whether leaning forward or reclining. For the NT002, the homepage lists an adaptive backrest, easily adjustable armrests with an add-on tray for gaming, reading or snacking, and a seat cushion Newtral says reduces hip and thigh pressure.

The Freedom-X takes a different approach. Newtral says it believes there is no single correct way to sit, and that the chair's adjustable armrests support upright, backward, straddling, cross-legged, side sitting and lying down positions. That makes it the pick for anyone who games cross-legged or sideways, which a conventional chair with fixed arms does not allow.

The brand makes strong health claims throughout. The homepage says the NT Series was designed to address lower back pain caused by prolonged sitting, and it describes the chairs as made for people who sit more than 8 hours a day. The Our Team page says every chair "is designed to improve posture, reduce pain, and enhance long-term comfort." These are Newtral's own claims. The homepage also features Ergonomic Specialist Iris Sokol and Physical Therapist Matt Penney, and the Our Team page says the chair received "a video recommendation from American ergonomics expert Iris Sokol."

Certifications, Warranty and Returns

The FAQ says Newtral chairs "are backed by certified test reports, including BIFMA, SGS, ISO 9001 compliance, and fire-resistance testing," with a download page for the reports. The manuals page links to Newtral's US patents for the Freedom-X multi-posture chair, an adjustable chair headrest and a backrest adjusting chair, plus an EU patent for double chair backs.

Orders from the official website include a 3-year warranty, which the site says "Covers material & manufacturing defects," with free replacement support for eligible quality issues. Normal wear and tear, such as fabric stains or minor surface marks, is not covered if it does not affect how the chair works, and Amazon buyers are told to go through the original Amazon store instead. The return policy gives a 60-day return window for products in their original packaging and unassembled condition. If the return is a change of mind rather than a quality issue, the customer pays return shipping, and assembled or used returns are not restocked. In practice, that means the return window covers a chair still in its box rather than a trial period.

The Story Behind the Brand

The Our Team page is written in the founder's voice. In 2002, while studying for a Master's Degree at San Diego State University, Deng says he developed Carpal Tunnel Syndrome from heavy computer use and years of back pain from warehouse and bookstore jobs. He went on to design the Rockstick mouse in 2009, which the page calls the first mouse in the world to let people click with the arm instead of the fingers, and the Rockstick 2 won a 2014 Reddot Design Award. The page lists ergonomic distributors such as OfficeRelief, Goldtouch, ErgoWorks and The Backshop as customers. In 2017 he began designing a chair, which became the NEWTRAL Chair.

Crowdfunding built the chair business. The homepage says the NT Series raised over $737K on Indiegogo, the Magic H Series over $1.82M on Kickstarter in 60 days with more than 5,000 backers, and the Freedom-X over $1.51M on Kickstarter, also with more than 5,000 backers. A Creator Program invites creators based in the United States or Europe with at least 1,000 followers to apply for a complimentary chair in return for a short-form video, 3–5 unedited vertical clips and 5–8 workspace photos.

Who It Suits

Newtral suits gamers and home workers who shift around in their chair and want a backrest that follows them, or who sit cross-legged and want a chair built for it in the Freedom-X. Buyers in the US and EU get the fastest delivery from local stock, and the long list of served markets, duty-paid shipping and a 3-year warranty make it one of the more practical international options in this category. The strict 60-day return terms, which only accept unassembled chairs, mean it is worth reading the product page and manual before ordering.
