Topstar GmbH is a German seating manufacturer based at Augsburger Straße 29 in Langenneufnach near Augsburg. Its homepage headline reads "Made in Germany – Seit 1949!" and describes the company as a "modernes Familienunternehmen" (a modern family business) that has developed and produced seating in Germany "seit über 50 Jahren" (for more than 50 years). A "50 Jahre Topstar" anniversary section runs across the site. The site is in German with an English switch in the menu.

The site does not work as a shop. It shows no prices and no currency, and every overview page ends with the same prompt: "Finde den passenden Handelspartner in Deiner Nähe!" (find the right trade partner near you), linking to a dealer search, the Händlersuche. The menu also lists a Topstar Werksverkauf, a factory outlet. So an individual buyer reaches a Topstar chair through a dealer or the outlet rather than by ordering from topstar.de. The site does not publish a list of countries its dealers cover, so buyers outside Germany should run the dealer search before settling on a model.

Four brands, six product worlds

The homepage names four brands: "Topstar, Sitness, Sitness Urban und Sitness RS." Sitness is the company's movement-seating line, Sitness Urban is its brand for restaurants and bars ("In der Gastronomie Marke Sitness Urban"), and Sitness RS is the gaming line. The Produktwelten menu splits the catalog into Office, Kids, Gaming, Living und Outdoor, Hospitality and Visitor, with a separate AGR collection.

The Sitness RS gaming chairs

The gaming overview lists five Sitness RS models: the Sitness RS X, the Sitness RS Bob, the Sitness RS Sport Plus, the Sitness RS Sport and the Sitness RS Pro. The section runs under the slogan "Gaming in (E)motion" and says "Jeder Sitness RS ist Made in Germany und verfügt über alle gängigen Prüfzertifikate" (every Sitness RS is made in Germany and holds all the usual test certificates). The site does not say which certificates those are. In the same paragraph Topstar claims its gaming models "bringen Deine Gesundheit und Deine Performance auf ein neues Level" (take your health and your performance to a new level); that is the brand's marketing line, and the page offers no test or data behind it.

What sets the RS range apart from most racing-style gaming chairs, by Topstar's own account, is that it borrows the company's movement mechanism: the brand describes its mission as combining "unsere einzigartige Bewegungstechnologie mit Style und Qualität" (our unique movement technology with style and quality). The gaming page also runs a "Sitness RS Member" program for gamers, streamers and influencers, who can apply for chairs and cooperation deals. The homepage links a "Red Bull Gaming Garden x Topstar" partnership, with a press release in the news list.

The overview pages list model names only. No seat dimensions, adjustment ranges, weight ratings or prices appear next to any Sitness RS chair, so a buyer comparing the RS Pro with the RS Sport has to ask a dealer or open each model page.

Sitness movement seating

Sitness is the idea that runs through most of the catalog. The homepage calls it "die patentierte Sitness-Technologie" (the patented Sitness technology) and says its "Bewegungsfreiheit in jede Richtung" (freedom of movement in every direction) makes for more active sitting. Topstar goes further and claims this trains the back muscles without the sitter noticing and helps prevent back pain; that is the company's claim, stated on its homepage, not something the site backs with a study. A campaign called "Sit, Move, Improve mit dem Sitness 4D" is featured at the top of the homepage, and the news list includes posts on the Sitness 4D and on trade fair appearances at Ambiente 2026 and IMM 2026.

Certification and the AGR seal

The homepage says "Wir sind AGR zertifiziert" and explains that several of its products "wurden von der Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V. getestet und erhielten das AGR-Gütesiegel" (were tested by the Aktion Gesunder Rücken association and received the AGR seal of approval). The homepage does not name the certified models in that paragraph; it links to a separate "AGR Kollektion" instead.

Office, kids and the wider range

The office overview is long. Under Sitness Office it lists models such as the Body Balance 10 and 20, E-Table 60 and 80, Lady Sitness, Sitness 4D, Sitness 3D Stool, Sitness AirWay and Soft Sitness Art. Under Sitness X Office it names the Sitness Life 20 to Life 80, the Sitness X Back Pro and the Sitness X Up Table 30. The Topstar Office line runs from the Air Syncro and Big Star series through Chairman X, Open X Deluxe, Point 70 and Point 80, Syncro Pro 5 and Eurostar 200 to the Airhop, Airhop High and Spider. The kids overview lists the Sitness Bobby, Sitness Home S´cool, Sitness Kid 30 and Sitness S´Neaker, a Sitness X Kids line with the Sitness X Chair 10 and several Up Table desks, and Topstar Kids models including the High Kid, Nic, Open Art Junior, S´cool 3, Titan Junior and Titan Junior 3D. The homepage sums up the portfolio as reaching "weit über den klassischen Bürostuhl hinaus" (far beyond the classic office chair), from dining chairs to seating for kids and gamers.

Service and contact

The Service und Beratung page points to an FAQ and describes a project department that offers "einen unverbindlichen Entwurfsvorschlag" (a non-binding design proposal) and "3D-Planungsdaten auf Anfrage" (3D planning data on request), a service built around larger projects rather than single-chair purchases. The footer lists the Langenneufnach address, the phone line 08239 789-0 and info@topstar.de. The site does not state a warranty length, return terms or delivery times.

Who it suits

Topstar suits a buyer in Germany who wants a gaming chair made in Germany from a long-established maker, with a movement mechanism rather than the usual fixed racing bucket, and who is happy to buy through a local dealer. It suits less well anyone who wants to compare published specs and prices online before buying, because the site gives neither, or anyone far from the company's dealer network, which the site does not map by country.
